Mark Your Calendars For A Thrilling Marvel Lineup In 2026
Back in January, we posted the original slate of projects that Marvel was scheduled to release in 2026. But, back then, we didn't have ANY idea what was happening in these projects. No synopsizes or trailers were released.
Heck, I don't even think we had an official release date on the new season of Daredevil yet. So, since we're working our way through the year and we have some more details about what to expect from these films, here's the updated release scheduled for the year.
March 2026:
March 24, 2026: Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 (Disney+)
Hard to believe this show drops next week. Over the last month, Marvel has dropped several teasers/trailers for the show...so take your pick. We did a full breakdown on the trailer here. Overall, Matt Murdock & Jessica Jones are teaming up against Mayor Fisk in a bloody battle for New York. Also looks like old friends (and enemies) like Jessica Paige and Bullseye are back in the fold full-time. How this leads into Spider-Man: Brand New Day (more on that here in a bit), who knows. But there definitely seems to be some connection - based off of some of the things we see in the Spidey trailer.
May 2026:
May 27th - Spider-Noir (Amazon Prime)
This might be the most fascinating addition to the release schedule. Nic Cage plays Ben Reilly/The Spider in this off-beat, noir inspired Spider-Man tale. As you can see in the trailer, a host of familiar faces like Sandman and Molten Man will appear. Plus, Amazon will air the show in both Black & White and Color...which is kind of cool. Here's the show description: "Ben Reilly, an aging, down on his luck private investigator, grapples with his past life as the only superhero in 1930s New York City, the Spider. When an exceptional case comes his way, Reilly must become the Spider once more."
Sounds pretty bad-ass, right? Show looks like it has the right balance of camp and seriousness. I'm pretty excited for this.
Summer 2026:
Summer 2026: X-Men '97 Season 2 (Disney+)
Outside of the trailer during NYCC, Marvel hasn't said much about X-Men '97. The first season was highly popular and a lot of people are fired up for the new season. Outside of a general summer release, we don't have many details about when or what to expect from Season 2.
July 2026
July 31: Spider-Man: Brand New Day (Sony/Marvel Studios)
We FINALLY got our official first look at Spider-Man: Brand New Day. And boy does it look good! Spidey, after making the world forget about Peter Parker, is trying to figure out his life. While doing that, he's dealing with everyone from the Punisher, the Scorpion, the Hand, and Tarantula...just to name a few. Tombstone (allegedly) is going to be a major villain moving forward in the Spider-verse and, oddly enough, he's the one confirmed bad guy that doesn't appear in the trailer.
There are scenes in the Spider-Man trailer that look VERY similar to Punisher's hideout in Daredevil. Also, the Hand appears for the first time since the Defenders series on Netflix. So, while Daredevil isn't expected to appear in the film, it appears that world is going to have a major influence on the goings-on in the new Spider-Man film. Maybe we'll have more answers once we finish with Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

Fall 2026
Fall 2026: Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 (Disney+)
Much like several other projects on this list, details are extremely limited on Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. What is known is that season 1 was pretty awesome and I can't wait for Season 2 to drop!
December 2026
December 18: Avengers: Doomsday (Marvel Studios)
This is going to be one of the biggest Marvel projects ever. We know Robert Downey Jr. is back...but this time as the iconic Marvel villain Doctor Doom. We know Steve Rogers is back. We know Thor is back. We know the X-Men will make an appearance. We also know this is going to be a film of epic proportions. Beyond that, we don't have a full trailer or synopsis yet. But...do we really need it? We're all going to go see this regardless.
