Matt Murdock Faces Mayor Fisk In A High-stakes Showdown

Daredevil: Born Again, penned by the great Frank Miller, was released 40 years ago. Widely considered one of the best comic stories of all-time, since it's released, Daredevil went from a 'B-level' player in Marvel Universe to a major character. Matt Murdock and company have been featured in prominent comic stories, movies, TV shows, and a whole lot more.

This month, season 2 of the Disney+ show named after the comic book returns. And Daredevil: Born Again season 2 looks to be a bloody, menacing journey.

Marvel Drops New Trailer For Daredevil: Born Again

In case you missed Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock was trying to use his powers as a lawyer to fight the good fight. However, a major tragedy draws Matt back to his superhero alter-ego: Daredevil.

And now, with Mayor Wilson Fisk declaring all masked heroes illegal and running a 'death squad' to eliminate them, we deal with that fallout in Season 2. As Matt says in the trailer 'It's time to take this city back'. And he's not going to do it alone. We see the return of Jessica Jones into the fold. They're working together to take down Fisk's militarized police force.

We also get a few other major nuggets in the new trailer: a peek at Jacques Duquesne aka the Swordsman. We see Karen Page and Bullseye, who looks to play a much bigger role in this season's story. Plus, we finally get a 'comic book' accurate DD emblem. Which is fun. And there seems to be a signature Daredevil hallway fight...which are always an epic staple of the show.

Where it all leads, who knows. But we'll find out soon enough when season 2 debuts on Disney+ March 24th.
