In the 10 years since the first Geek'd Con, a lot has happened, and we're guessing at least a few people have started a family in that time. Before the show rolls around, get the family together and dust off these classics on VHS tape, or more likely, whichever streaming service has the streaming rights this month. We've got the 3 must-see family movies featuring guests you'll see at Geek'd Con X at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Movie 1: The Incredibles (2004)

The Incredibles is a generational superhero movie released in the middle of Pixar and Disney's original streak of classic after classic. Featuring Geek'd Con X guest Jason Lee as the main villain, Syndrome in an unforgettable role. You can find The Incredibles streaming on Disney+.

Movie 2: The Sandlot (1993)

For years, many have called The Sandlot a cult classic, but calling it a cult implies that the group of followers is small and on the fringe. The Sandlot has evolved from cult classic status to all-time classic cinema since its release. A feel-good coming-of-age story for any family to enjoy. Patrick Renna, who played "Ham" Porter in the movie, will be at Geek'd Con X in Shreveport. You can find The Sandlot streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.

Movie 3: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

The first big screen adaptation of the sewer-dwelling crime fighters has a certain charm to it you'll likely never see in a Hollywood production ever again. The directors likely realized they had a dilemma on their hands: "How do we make this movie about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who love pizza not come off as too cheesy?"
The answer must have been something along the lines of "I give up, pass the cheese whiz."

The original TMNT movie isn't streaming but is available for cheap online. All four Turtles and Shredder (Kenn Scott, Robbie Rist, Brian Tochi, Ernie Reyes Jr., and Francois Chau) will be in Shreveport for Geek'd Con X.
