Marvel Reveals New ‘Falcon and Winter Soldier’ Concept Art
While Marvel has an entire lineup of original shows coming to Disney+, on launch day they have just a single “new” title in their section of the new streaming service. It’s called Expanding the Universe, and it’s basically a 13-minute commercial for those upcoming series. It’s largely comprised of clips from Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con and D23 panels from earlier this summer, where they officially announced some projects, and unveiled the casts of others. It’s also sprinkled with a few interviews with some of the creators of specific projects.
Overall, it’s pretty forgettable; at best, it’s the kind of special feature you might watch one time on a Blu-ray. The only really notable thing in includes is some brand new concept art from the first MCU Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. That includes the new costumes for Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky (Sebastian Stan), plus the show’s villain, Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) and a new character, U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell).
Here’s the concept art featured in the show:
Marvel’s costumes probably don’t get the credit they deserve; these are all very sharp. (I love the U.S. Agent that’s like a blend of that character’s comic-book costume as well as the classic MCU Captain America look.) The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is expected to premiere on Disney+ next year.
