Comic Book Legend Joe Rubinstein Hits Shreveport This August
Geek'd Con 2026 is coming back to the Shreveport Convention Center August 14th to 16th. And one guest I'm super excited for is Joe Rubinstein.
Joe is one of the greatest and most prolific inkers in the history of comic books. I know that may seem like a big and bold statement, but it's just the truth. He started out as an office assistant to the legendary Neal Adams and Dick Giordano at Continuity Associates, he quickly rose the ranks of the comic industry and became one of the 'go-to' inkers in the business.
The man has worked on everything. Literally. He has inked more than 2,500 comics during his career. And the books he worked on are nothing short of iconic. He worked with Michael Golden on Micronauts, Jim Starlin on Warlock, Don Newton on Aquaman, Frank Miller on the iconic Wolverine mini-series...DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, he has put his magical touch on everything.
He also holds the World Record for having inked more pencilers than any other artist in the comic book industry. He's in the Inkwell Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame. The guy's resume is as impressive as it is awe inspiring.

Signature Joe Rubinstein Comic Books
If you're looking to get something signed, sketched, or remarqued from Joe, there's TONS of options and books to choose from. Thanks to his work on the Wolverine miniseries with Chris Claremont & Frank Miller, Wolvie is always a popular choice.
But, that's far from the only important book or character Joe has worked on. The Avengers, Captain America, X-Men, Superman, are also on the list. Below is just a small sample of some of the key characters & books that Joe has worked on over the years. And when I say small sample, I mean it...because we could list off 100s of issues.
- Wolverine Miniseries 1-4
- The original Infinity Gauntlet series
- Uncanny X-Men including issue 266 ("First" Gambit)
- Amazing Spider-Man (the number of issues are too many to list)
- Web of Spider-Man issues 12-19
- Sensational She-Hulk 15,17, & 20
- Superman (also too many issues to list)
- Batman (various issues between 421 & 556 which includes part of the Knightfall series)
- Captain America (too many issues to list out)
- The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe
Like I said that's just a tiny, tiny sampling of his works. The list could go on for days. The big thing - the guy is an incredible artist and does incredible work...and if there's a character you absolutely love, chances are Joe has worked on him at some point.
And, I am super pumped to meet him and get some art from him this summer! You can get a little price preview on his website (obviously, prices will probably be different in-person vs online...but this will give you a general ballpark idea).
