Help Geek’d Con & Operation Santa Claus This Christmas

Christmas is a time for giving and celebrating all the wonderful things in our lives. Sadly, not everyone is lucky enough to enjoy the holidays in the same way. That's why Operation Santa Claus exists. OSC is a combined effort between the Shreveport Police and Fire departments. The goal is to give local underprivileged children a reason to smile by providing new toys for Christmas.

Again this year, Geek'd Con is pitching in to help in a very specific way. We've looked at the lists from the kids this year, and found a lot of GEEK related requests. So we're hoping to help fill those needs.

If you can help us gather these specific toys, we'll hook you up. If you drop of one of these exact items at the Townsquare Media Offices, 6341 Westport Ave in Shreveport, Mon-Friday from 9a-5p, we'll give you a Geek'd Con gift (while supplies last). You have until December 14th to help us out. Here are the specific items requested this year:

The gifts listed here are taken directly off the wish lists of the kids we're helping out with Operation Sana Claus this year, so our goal is to complete these very specific requests. These gifts are for kids ages 3-13, with most of the requests coming the in 6-11 age ranges.

If you're not able to make a donation to get the Geek'd Con gift, but still want to help out, we have a ton of other ways you can pitch in. All of the details on how you can help are below.

If you'd like to help this amazing cause, you can in multiple ways. Starting today through December 16th, you can make donations of new, unwrapped toys or money. Toy and monetary donations can be made at Townsquare Media, 6341 Westport Rd, 71129, and all Citizen National Banks in Shreveport and Bossier. Checks can be made out to Operation Santa Claus. You can also call the Donation Hotline at (318) 773-GIFT(4438).
