Having now seen Taarka play live, there is no doubt of their diverse musical inspiration. According to Enion Pelta-Tiller, violinist and co-founder of the band, “Our lyrics are inspired by old poetry and folk songs, and our music by everyone from Bela Fleck to Django Reinhardt to the Beatles to Bach to everyone we’ve ever played with.”
