Shreveport Well-Represented on Townsquare Media’s Diversity Team
Townsquare Media-Shreveport will be well represented on the new company-wide Diversity and Inclusion Council.
Townsquare Media, who owns and operates this brand, is one of the largest radio-centered media companies in the country. As far as radio ownership goes, the 321 radio stations that make up Townsquare Media is the third largest group of radio stations in the United States. Not only is Townsquare Media the third largest radio company in the country, TSM also operates digital brands from the local level to the national level. Including sites in the Shreveport-Bossier area (like this one) but also national brands like XXL, ScreenCrush, Diffuser, and more.
With a company this large, it’s both impressive and exciting that Shreveport-Bossier will be represented on the 15-person council with TWO members to help represent thousands of employees.
One of the members of the Diversity and Inclusion Council from the Shreveport market is Greg Atoms. Greg is the Live Events Coordinator for our local Townsquare market, as well as the Brand Manager for KWKH, 1130 The Tiger.
The second local Shreveport member is Erin McCarty. Erin is the Brand Manager for 710 KEEL, as well as the host of the incredibly successful Robert & Erin in the Morning.
Greg Atoms says of being selected out of the thousands of employees:
“It’s an incredible honor to be selected for this Council. There are thousands of employees across the country here at Townsquare Media, and I’m excited to hear from them; their stories, their experiences. I’m hoping to learn, grown, and apply my skills in any way that the Council needs. I know that the efforts this team will make our company better.”
The Council was selected by Townsquare Media’s “Together We Stand Task Force”, which was put together earlier this year.
