Geek'd Con has become one of the biggest "comic con" style events in the state of Louisiana since it started in Downtown Shreveport back in 2015. The event has welcomed over 10,000 fans each weekend since the start. It has also brought millions of dollars in economic impact to the Shreveport and Bossier area.
Annually, you can find vendors from every corner of the United States, including states as far away as New York, Washington, Iowa, and California. These vendors will bring items including vintage toys, high-end comic books, brand new collectibles, and plenty of custom artwork.
Fans travel from all across the United States to attend the event. Families have flown in from Chicago, Tennessee, and Washington. Thousands of fans have driven in from neighboring states like Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi. This year, international fans will be coming to Shreveport for Geek'd Con, with tickets sold to fans in at least 2 foreign countries.
The biggest reason fans and vendors come to Shreveport for Geek'd Con is the potential for once-in-a-lifetime experiences with celebrities from film, music, television, and comic books. Geek'd Con is a mash-up of celebrity meet and greets, geeky shopping, cosplay, games, prizes, and fun. Those celebrity interactions drives many of the attendees to travel in for the show.
