
Geek’d Con 2026: Erick Redbeard (Erick Rowan) Joins Geek’d Con 2026
Pro wrestling has entered the Geek'd Con group chat.
The premier pop culture event in the Ark-La-Tex is officially preparing for its 11th annual weekend in Downtown Shreveport. Geek'd Con is locked in to take over the Shreveport Convention Center this summer from August 14th through the 16th, 2026.
As the largest gathering of fandoms in North Louisiana, the massive three-day convention provides an unmatched professional comic con experience...bringing together a huge vendor market, celebrity photo ops, and thousands of dedicated fans.
One of the most consistent features of Geek'd Con over the last decade has been pro wrestling being featured. This year will be no different.
Original Wyatt Family Member Coming to Shreveport
A true giant of the squared circle is coming to the Geek'd Con 2026 with professional wrestling powerhouse Erick Redbeard!
Redbeard, formerly known as Erick Rowan, has carved out a massive legacy in the pro wrestling world. Winning multiple championships, and wrestling in some big moments during the biggest show of the year...
He first captured the attention of the wrestling world as an original member of the deeply influential faction, The Wyatt Family. He dominated the tag team division, first winning the NXT Tag Team Championship, before becoming a two-time WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion.
His career is highlighted by unforgettable milestones, including a legendary WrestleMania 32 match against Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, at Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans Rowan and Luke Harper won the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship, and he also competed at Wrestlemania 31 in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Some of his other memorable matches includes his win over Roman Reigns at WWE Clash of Champions 2019, his Steel Stairs Match with The Big Show at TLC 2014, and in a 4-star classic tornado tag match alongside Luke Harper against Daniel Bryan and Reigns at Hell In A Cell 2019.
He won multiple Slammy Awards during his WWE career, including the Slammy Award for Match of the Year, and another Slammy Award for 'WTF Moment of the Year'. Pro Wrestling Illustrated named him #57 in the PWI 500, and Wrestling Observer named The Wyatt Family as the Best Gimmick in the debut year.
As Erick Rowan, he's appeared as a playable character in over a dozen video games. Including the WWE 2K series, where he appeared in all 6 games between WWE 2K15 and 2K20. He returned to the 2K series with WWE 2K25, and the latest WWE 2K26.
Founding Member Of The Wyatt Sicks Will Be At Geek'd Con
In his most recent run with WWE, he was a member of the Wyatt Sicks. Rowan's alternate personality was Rambling Rabbit from the Firefly Funhouse. The Wyatt Sicks were one of the most exciting debuts of the year in all of professional wrestling. The fan favorite faction were even featured at Universal Studios during Halloween Horror Nights in 2025 at both the Orlando and Hollywood events.
Rowan the the Wyatt Sicks were recently immortalized in a WWE Elite Collection Wyatt Sicks 3-Pack from Mattel, alongside Uncle Howdy and Nikki Cross.
Erick Redbeard Outside of WWE
Redbeard also appeared in All Elite Wrestling, where he wrestled alongside PAC and Penta against the House of Black. He also teamed with Geek'd Con alumni Danhausen for a tag team match against the Gunn Club.
All over the world, Redbeard has captured numerous independent titles, including the IWR World Heavyweight Championship.
Outside the ring, Redbeard is a man of diverse talents. A former college football player at the University of Minnesota Morris. He's also a massive metal head, something he has shown off on tv and across his independent career. Heading out to the ring wearing shirts from his favorite bands like Amon Amarth, Kreator, Hatebreed, Gojira, Children of Bodom, Corrosion of Conformity, and Slipknot.
He's even elbow dropped his way into acting. Appearing in the film 'Ghosts of the Ozarks' and multiple TV series...even 'I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson'.
