You'll be blown away to find out how many celebrities have been arrested in Shreveport.

Here lately, I've fallen down a huge rabbit hole of Shreveport history. It all started when I began looking up facts about the giant rooster statue downtown, then one thing led to another, and ever since I've been obsessing over Shreveport history and weird facts.

Now, I often admit that I don't know everything there is to know about Shreveport, but I do feel like I know more than most. That said, it's always exciting for me when I learn something new about my hometown. The good news, for me anyways, is that Shreveport is a truly historic town. Our musical history is rivaled only by a very small select group of American cities. Also, there was a time not so long ago where Shreveport truly was the Hollywood of the South, with major films being filmed right here year-round.

Naturally, with a history like ours, there has been celebrities in and out of Shreveport for the better part of 60 years. With that being said, sometimes those stars get into a little bit of trouble in the Ratchet City.

After researching celebrity arrests in our town, I was absolutely blown away.

One thing I didn't realize was the number of celebrity arrests that have taken place in Shreveport. From renowned businessman and movie star Howard Hughes to rapper Rick Ross, a bunch of different celebrities have been arrested in Shreveport. Some of these I knew...some of them I didn't.

I don't know why I find this so fascinating, but I do! Do you remember any other crazy Shreveport history stories? If so, shoot me a message on the K945 Facebook page.
