A Conversation With Rodney Crowell [AUDIO]

Rodney Crowell never had designs on being a superstar. He wanted to write his songs and make good music. Although Rodney didn't have a lot of commercial success himself until the late 80"s, he was a songwriter that other artists found great success with his songs. "Ain't Living Long Like This" by Waylon Jennings, "Leaving Louisiana..." by the Oak Ridge Boys, "Shame on the Moon" by Bob seger are all songs written by Rodney and still performed by him today.

After taking much of the mid 80's to produce music for then wife Roseanne Cash, Rodney released an album that exploded on the Country music scene. Album after album built his reputation as a great songwriter and after the five #1 singles off the Diamonds and Dirt album, Rodney's place as a talented songwriter was secured for years to come.

Rodney joins us from a tour with old friend Emmylou Harris and mentions that a return to performing with ex-wife Roseanne Cash isn't completely out of the question. Listen in on the conversation with Brian Scott.
