Watch E.T. With the Stars of the Film in Downtown Shreveport

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 2024 Geek'd Con will take place August 16th, 17th, and 18th, at the Shreveport Convention Center. Two of the guests scheduled to attend this year's Geek'd Con event are Henry Thomas and Dee Wallace. Even though both of them have extensive resumes, they may be best known as co-stars from the legendary blockbuster movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Thomas played the lead character Elliott, the boy who befriended the titular alien, while Wallace played Elliott's mother.

How cool would it be to get a chance to watch this legendary movie with Henry Thomas and Dee Wallace? Not only that, but be able to talk to them about the making of the movie? Well, fans in the Shreveport-Bossier area are going to get that chance, thanks to the Robinson Film Center!

The Robinson will be hosting Henry Thomas and Dee Wallace for a special screening of E.T. where you can see the film, meet the stars, and talk to them about the film and its legacy. Here's how the Robinson explains the event:

"Kick off Geek’d Con weekend with a E.T.’s Dee Wallace and Henry Thomas at RFC! VIP ticket holders can start the night with an exclusive meet & greet with the special guests at 5 p.m. The screening will start at 6:30 p.m. followed by a moderated Q&A. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet the stars of this Spielberg classic!

VIP Tickets are limited! VIP Tickets include the Meet & Greet, Screening, and Q&A. General Admission Tickets include the Screening and Q&A. You must have a VIP ticket to attend the Meet & Greet in RFC's Event Space. The screening and Q&A will take place in Theater 1, RFC’s 124-seat capacity theater."

You can get tickets now, and you should hurry. This is a limited seating event. So if you don't secure your ticket soon, you might not be able to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Geek'd Con 2024 Guest Lineup

Geek'd Con is back for another fantastic year at the Shreveport Convention Center. On top of the regular Geek'd Con festivities, this year on the second floor we will debuting the Shreveport Sports Card Show - which will feature sports card vendors, memorabilia vendors and sports guests!
