How to Get Into the Shreveport Sports Card Show For Free
The Shreveport Card Show is coming back for their traditional summer show. The event is set for this Saturday and Sunday, July 27th & 28th, at the Acrosports and The Fieldhouse on American Way in Shreveport.
Over the last 30 years, the world of sports collectible has blossomed into a major industry. Sports cards have become an in-demand commodity that can be traded like Wall Street stocks. Autographed jerseys and balls can easily fetch thousands of dollars, and autograph authentication has become big business.
After companies printed cards into oblivion in the late 1980s through the 1990s, the sports card industry took a turn into oddball offerings in the early 2000s. But some of the experimental stuff companies did in that era built the blueprint for today's modern explosion of sports cards.
Even though sports cards are big business, there's still an element for the kids. Brands like Topps still offer an affordable entry point for young collectors. They can get rookie cards of their favorite players, and cards of all time legends at the same time. The Shreveport Card Show Summer Show is a great place to bring the family out to start a young collector's journey.
Now how about this offer...if you wear your favorite sports jersey to the show, you can get in free! Otherwise there is a fee at the door to attend.
The show will feature over 100 tables with dealers carrying all sports. You will be able to find baseball, football, basketball, hockey, pro wrestling, soccer, and more. Not only will there be cards from these sports, there will be a ton of signed memorabilia. Jerseys, helmets, balls, and more, with many authenticated for your protection.
